During MWC Shanghai 2025, Xu Zhijun, vice chairman and alternate chairman of Huawei, gave a keynote speech at the event sharing four key findings about "the path to driving growth." Xu pointed out that after nearly forty years of rapid development in the telecom industry, it has entered a period of stable growth and faces challenges regarding how to keep growing. The development of telecom operators should involve grasping evolving needs among end users who use network services daily and fuel business growth accordingly. First, they need to understand the changing requirements from the ultimate consumers utilizing network services every day and focus on their burgeoning demands. Second, by applying systems integration, they can stimulate supply and consumption of high-definition video traffic. Third, connecting 5G to every vehicle will capture opportunity of smart connected cars' growth. Fourth, using FTTR to connect all small-to-medium-sized business users presents an opportunity to embrace the surge in intelligent development.
